Punjab Police Warder Recruitment 2024: Punjab Police has released vacancies for the posts of Jail Warder. The notice was released on 26th July and applications have started from 29th July. Candidates who have the required qualification to apply for these posts should fill the form before the last date. Vacancy Details
A total of 179 posts will be recruited through this recruitment drive. Out of these, 175 posts are of Jail Warder and 4 posts are of Matron. You can apply for any post you want. Applications will be online only, for this you have to visit the official website of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board – sssb.punjab.gov.in will go on.
Who can apply
The special thing about these posts is that candidates who have passed 12th from any recognized board can apply for them. The eligibility for both the posts is the same. Talking about the age limit, it has been fixed from 18 to 27 years. Age will be counted from January 1, 2024. Reserved category will get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.
How will the selection be done
To get selected for these posts, candidates will have to pass several stages of examination. Such as written examination, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, document verification and medical examination. Fees and Salary
To apply for these posts of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Commission, candidates of general category will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000. At the same time, SC, BC, EWS category will have to pay a fee of Rs 250 and for ESM category the fee is Rs 200.
As far as salary is concerned, the selected candidates will be paid a salary ranging from Rs 10,300 to Rs 34,800 per month as per the grade pay of Rs 3200. Other details and updates can be seen from the website.
